Handmade by our community

Our artisan souvenirs are handcrafted by our young adults, teens, and elders of our Kichwa family. Elders work along new generation to pass down their ancestral knowledge and help the community develop an income that is invested in school education. They craft necklaces, earring, bracelets, traditional clothing (trajes), and spirit animal figures. Most of these items are made from natural fibers, seeds, wood, leather, and some are made from plastic beads. All natural material and share have a meaning in our culture and represent an spirit, either for protection, strength, clarity, fertility, healing, and so on.
